Bruce Sontag is a senior and co-founding member of the firm, which was formed in 1992. He is co-chairman of the firm's Closing, Lease Drafting and litigation departments and actively practices in those areas.
Bruce has over thirty years experience in both trial and appellate practice regarding landlord-tenant summary proceedings as well as in the representation of the firm's clients in numerous other types of contractual litigation.
In addition to being licensed to practice before the New York State Courts Bruce is admitted to practice before the Eastern and Southern Federal District Courts as well as the State of Connecticut. Bruce co-supervises all litigation matters and proceedings in New York, Bronx, Queens, Kings, Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Bruce also litigates sophisticated trials on behalf of the firm 's clients in connection with residential and commercial properties.
Bruce earned his JD from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg School of Law in 1988 and his BA from the State University of New York at Buffalo, in 1985. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1989, the United States District Court Eastern District in 1989 and the United States District Court Southern District in 1989.
Bruce is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
